TCM Underground was an ambitious franchise on the network that never found its footing.  On the digital side, we were in love with these films and for a brief time dived in with some incredibly fun content, enabling celebrated artists to develop “Lost Scenes” for the films.  The on-air host fled, TCM changed leadership, and the wind left the sails.  Now Underground is still alive but remains more/less buried today.  But fans loved what we did for awhile with these eclectic, orphaned, enjoyable films.  More importantly, it was a good audience for the network to try to acquire.
