What if you could friend Henry Fonda and add him to your social network?  Or Marily Monroe and James Dean?  

This and so much more was done in the Classic Film Union, an online film focused social network built in the early days just before Facebook went live to the world.  Tens of thousands of film fans interconnected and shared their joy of film.  The ability to add film stars (living or dead) and feature films, just like you would add a friend to your own social network, was unique to the world. It allowed fans to build huge interconnected networks and deep interesting profiles.  Connecting to stars and films allowed users to discover new friends they wouldn’t ordinarily find through the present connected tissue of classic film culture.
